7-17 and is based at the Runcorn pools.

M&D GALA 22ND APRIL 2012

A massive well done to the gala squad on their win last Sunday at Leasowe. We have never achieved 1st place at a gala before. All of the swimmers swam brilliantly and deserved to win.

The final scores from the day were:

ST HELENS - 159

BRIDGEFIELD - 139

WALLASEY - 86

Overall we have finished 2nd place in the league for this season.

Majorca Training Camp 2012

We arrived in Majorca on Friday 10th February. The swimmers completed two training sessions each day, 9-11am and then 4-6pm. They also did a short theory session just before lunch with Liz.

The weather was unpredictable at times with a mixture of sun, rain, hail and wind. On our afternoon off the swimmers completed a treasure hunt and visited the beach and local harbour. Most evenings the group did quizzes provided by the excellent entertainment committe.

Whilst in Majorca the swimmers have been coached by James Parrack who is an ex-GB swimmer, both a Commonwealth medalist and Olympic athlete. He has competed at various international events such as the Seoul 1988 Olympics and the Auckland Commonwealth Games. James specialises in breaststroke and has limitless knowledge on nutrition. The group have really enjoyed this new experience and have vastly improved their technical ability in the pool.
